Human Living Library: Asexual (Zedaph)

“A lot of people presume that if you are aro/ace spectrum you can't be in a relationship of any kind - there is a lot more to relationships than romantic and sexual attraction. [...] Like sensual and aesthetic attraction."

Zedaph

Asexual

Here Zedaph talks about their life experiences and the impact of prejudice on their life as someone who is asexual. They highlight that there asexuality is a spectrum and that regardless of where on that spectrum someone identifies they can still be in a relationship. They also explain that age and experience have nothing to do with whether someone identifies as asexual.

Asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction to others, or low or absent interest in or desire for sexual activity. It may be considered a sexual orientation or the lack thereof. It may also be categorized more widely, to include a broad spectrum of asexual sub-identities.
