“I just think, don't be scared to declare these kind of things because there is more support out there than you may know about and be proud of who you are and the amazing things you bring to the table - dyslexic or non-dyslexic.”
Dyslexia
Here Hayley talks about her life experiences with dyslexia and the impact of prejudice on her life. Hayley goes into some of her earlier experiences and the attitudes that people had prior to her doing the dyslexia assessment. She highlights that everyone can add greatness to a team, regardless of if you're dyslexic or not, everyone has their own strengths and Hayley says we should play to those strengths instead of focusing on any perceived or true weaknesses.
Dyslexia is a general term for learning difficulties that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence.
