Human Living Library: DID (The DDD System)

“If your friend tells you this is going on with them don't just discard them, they're still your friend - you've just gained a few extra.”

Lilly (Daydream Detectives)

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)

Here Lilly from the Daydream Detectives system talks about their life experiences and the impact of prejudice on their life as they live with DID. Lilly highlights that DID isn't scary and that people with DID do not need to be feared or treated differently.

Dissociative identity disorder (DID) used to be called multiple personality disorder. Someone diagnosed with DID may feel uncertain about their identity and who they are. They may feel the presence of other identities, each with their own names, voices, personal histories and mannerisms.
