“Something that every person and every organisation can do is to show that you are somebody who can be trusted, through your actions as well as your words.”
LGBTQ+
Here Catherine talks about her life experiences as someone that is a part of the LGBTQ+ and how this part of her identity has affected her life. Catherine highlights that although people are more accepted for being LGBTQ+ and there is more media representation, people within the LGBTQ+ community still experience discrimination and prejudice due to their identity and often carry this experience with them through life.
LGBTQIA+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, and more. These terms are used to describe a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
