Finding resources

When studying at university, one of the most essential skills you need to develop is the ability to find suitable and reliable sources of information. The Brynmor Jones Library subscribes to a wide range of resources across all subjects and these can be found via Library search. There are also specialist subject databases  to help you find appropriate information sources within your own specific area of study or research.

To make the most of your subject databases, you need to develop your search skills. University-level study requires a strategic approach to searching the academic literature. Google – even Google Scholar is not enough!

This site links you to discipline-specific databases; it helps you develop a search strategy, access resources from anywhere and decide whether those resources are suitable for your assignment.
