University of Hull staff can sign up for our new Digital Skills course. Delivered online over five days, it covers the main conversations we're having around the impact of generative AI on education.
About the course
This course will only take you less than an hour a day. You can do this anytime in the day - so it is completely flexible to your workload of the day. The course is delivered online through Canvas so you can take part wherever you are. You just need access to the internet.
Course outline
The course structure is set out as follows:

Friday - Sunday | Introduction to The Digital Teacher: AI special The course site opens and will give you the opportunity to introduce yourself ahead of the course starting . There is no obligation to work over the weekend. |
Monday | Introduction to Artificial Intelligence [core activity] Discover what AI and Generative AI are, and how they're being used at the University of Hull. |
Tuesday | Using AI in your teaching [core activity] Using AI to support development of accessible and engaging curricula and resources |
Wednesday | Professional Service Staff and Academic use [core activity] Using AI tools confidently and efficiently in your everyday work. |
Thursday | AI at Hull [core activity] How are we currently using AI and how could we in the future. |
Friday | Looking Ahead: AI Landscape [core activity] Explore the evolving AI landscape and discover ways to grow your skills and adapt in a changing world. |
Saturday | Catch-up The course remains open for the weekend to give you chance to catch-up and complete activities |
