Regardless of which subject you are writing for, there are key points you should consider when referencing. A large part of referencing properly is simply a case of following rules and an uninformed or careless approach can lead to many easy marks being lost in your assignments.

Referencing is an important academic practice for students to master. This video tutorial looks at all aspects of referencing.

  • Understand some of the key elements of referencing effectively - specifically in-text citations and reference lists.
  • Correctly reference information from a variety of sources
  • Understand how to use quotations, paraphrases and summaries in your writing.
