This workshop is designed to introduce the process of planning, researching, structuring and writing a literature review.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • The purpose of a literature review
  • Searching the literature
  • Reading research material critically
  • Structuring a review
  • How to write it (using a clear line of argument)

Who this workshop is for

It is aimed at final year undergraduate students writing a literature review, dissertation or independent study. Final year Nursing students would not be advised to attend as more specific and directed information is provided through their own programme modules.

This workshop is run by an Academic & Library Specialist from the Brynmor Jones Library Skills Team.
