Workshop description

Being able to create an effective academic presentation starts by learning the basic techniques. This workshop uses MS PowerPoint and shows you all you need to know about dealing with text, images, videos and simple animations.

We recommend that undergraduate students follow this workshop by attending the "Structuring and designing effective academic presentations" workshop or webinar. 

Learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Add, format, move and resize text, textboxes, images and shapes
  • Insert videos and create simple animations
  • Play and control a slide show

Who this workshop is for

Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate students who are relatively new to using presentation software.
