Canvas is the the University's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
Most of the modules you are studying will have a Canvas site where you can find details of lectures and assignments. Teaching staff usually upload materials into the Resources or Assignments areas accessed from the buttons on the left of the window.
Log on to an open access PC anywhere on campus.
Open the Chrome browser and select Canvas VLE from the homepage.
You will be automatically logged into Canvas and your dashboard will be displayed.
Laptops and off-campus PCs
Make sure you are connected to the internet.
Open a browser and go to canvas.hull.ac.uk. (There is also a link at the bottom of the University Home Page.)
You will probably be asked to sign in using your 6-digit University of Hull username and password (unless you have already logged into to another University service requiring this).
We recommend using the Canvas App on mobile devices. Just search for Canvas in your app store and select the Canvas Student app.
When it asks you to search for your school, type in University of Hull and you will be taken to the Single Sign-On Service. Login here with your 6-digit username and password. You will remain logged in unless you don't use the app for an extended period.
If you want to know how to access and print your feedback from Canvas, check out the video below (apologies for the sound quality). You can download this pdf: Quick Guide to Reviewing and Printing Feedback.
