International Bibliography of Social Sciences (IBSS)

This database includes over two million bibliographic references to journal articles and book reviews dating back to 1951.  It covers a broad range of the social sciences including anthropology, criminology, cultural studies, economics, political science and sociology.

Useful Journal Databases

Use databases to find quality journal articles for your assignments. You will find many more journal databases via the Library Catalogue, but these have been selected as being of particular value for your studies.

Journal Search

You can also search for whole journals. This is useful if you want to browse articles in a particular subject. The Library subscribes to thousands of eJournals (accessible online) and there are also lots of paper editions in the Library.
