Title

Finding library resources - where to start

About this workshop

It’s not always easy to know where to start when looking for books, journals and other library resources for your studies.  This workshop will help you to navigate the different routes available to you, all starting from the library website.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • Use your reading lists and the library catalogue to find material for your studies
  • Use your subject LibGuide to find books, journals, and more, specifically for your subject area
  • Track down online resources and view the full text of books and journal articles
  • Use Summon – a tool which enables you to search across millions of journal articles and eBooks at the click of a mouse – and find out why it’s better than Google!

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is ideal for all students but particularly undergraduates who would like an introduction to finding library resources.

This workshop is run by a Librarian
