Reading online is the best option with VLeBOOKS. Simply click the Read Online button. You will need an internet connection to read books online.
You can save your favourite and essential reading to your personal bookshelf to read later. You can create multiple bookshelves for different topics.
To be able to copy text from a page of a VLeBOOK, you need to click on the Copy button. This will allow you to copy any text on the selected page.
To print pages click on the Print button. You will then be told how many pages you are allowed to print from the book.
The VLeBOOKS website has a number of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). These include instructions on how to download an eBook, how to read an eBook on your Android or Apple device and how to download Adobe Digital Editions.
When logging in to a VLeBOOK:
1. Choose the Shibboleth Login.
2. From the list of institutions choose University of Hull (Shibboleth).
3. At the University of Hull Login Services page enter your Hull user ID and Password.
VLeBooks can be downloaded to your device for one day.
Click on the Download button option when first accessing the eBook to download the book to your device, whether it is a computer, smartphone, tablet etc. There are clear on-screen instructions for a range of devices.
Note: To download eBooks you need a device that is compatible with Adobe DRM (Digital rights management).
