University Library - support for academic staff: Supporting your students

Hull Employability Awards

The Hull Employability Awards are being offered to all students at the University of Hull from the 2016/17 academic year.  If you would like to find out more about them please follow the link.

Accessibility

All students registered with Disability Services are entitled to additional support from the Library, including:

  • extended loans on some items
  • 24-hour book collection service. If a student cannot easily access physical materials on the shelves they can send the library a list of items they need. We ask that they do this 24 hours prior to collection
  • access to a range of adaptive/assistive technologies housed in the Libraries
  • All Library information can be provided in alternative formats on request.

To obtain eBook copies of texts
Please contact the Library to discuss the options available through commercial publishers, in-house digitisation and the Swansea University Transcription Centre.

Supporting the Student Voice

Hull University Archives (HUA)

HUA produces various online source guides and help pages. Staff are always happy to answer email enquiries your students might have about using archives and available collections.

Online guides, help pages and contact details can be found on the Hull History Centre website

Staff Student Committees

Staff Student Committees are an opportunity for students to provide valuable feedback to their department, about their course and the resources that are available for them. A member of Library staff sit on the majority of all SSCs.  This is an opportunity for us to provide information regarding services directly with students and obtain feedback from staff and students.
