Work and study space
The Library offers different areas for different types of working. There are silent areas (1st floor Reading Room), quiet study areas (around the perimeter of the floors in the tower block) and areas for working in groups. The Observatory on the 7th floor is a social learning space and has three interactive projector tables.
Book a study room
There are study rooms on all floors of the Library. Study rooms are for use by two or more people and can be booked.
Access to books and other sources of information

Help and Support
Students can get help and support in the Library in several different ways.
There are around 240 PCs available, located on all floors of the library. These are accessible by entering your campus username and password. Students can save work onto their G drive, onto a USB stick or onto a CD Rom.
Borrow a laptop
Students can borrow laptops free of charge from the self-service machine in the 1st floor Reading Room. Laptops can be borrowed for up to 4 hours using a student card.
Print, photocopy and scan
There are multi-function devices installed throughout the Library. Students can print to any of them using a PC, or via the Mobile Print service, as well as being able to use them to scan and photocopy.
Interactive projector tables
There are three interactive projector tables on the 7th floor of the Library. The tables can be booked or if a table is free just ask a member of Library Staff for an interactive pen and a wireless keyboard and mouse. These will be issed on a library account. Use your own equipment
Wi-fi is available throughout the building and there are power points available for students to plug in their own devices on all floors. See instructions on connecting to the wireless network.
