Skills Development Programme

Now recruiting Skills Leaders!

Looking for a volunteering opportunity that fits in with your commitments and helps with your studies? Why not try training to become a Skills Leader based within the Brynmor Jones Library! Skills Leaders support the Skills Team to help students improve their academic study skills. As a Skills Leader, you will be given training and support to learn how to facilitate and design learning activities as well as learning about the study skills resources available to all students. Most of our Skills Leaders find that this not only helps develop their experience, but it also helps them with their own study too. Sign up to our training session on Wednesday 31st January from 1-8pm.

Undergraduate Skills Development Programme

Our Undergraduate Skills Development Programme provides development opportunities for foundation, undergraduate and undergraduate masters students. Our Programme is delivered via a series of Study bites, Workshops, and Master classes:

  • Study bites are designed for students who have little or no experience of the topic offered, or who would like a brief refresher.
  • Workshops offer students the opportunity to develop their skills in a particular topic by engaging in practical exercises and receiving tuition.
  • Master classes allow students to further develop and perfect their skills by engaging in practical exercises and receiving tuition.

Please use the links below or the tabs at the top of this page to browse the Study bites, Workshops and Master classes we have on offer.
