The largest collection of of Darwin's writings. The site contains more than 50,000 searchable text pages and 40,000 images of both publications and handwritten scripts.
LOIS investigated sediments, nutrients and contaminants from the watershed to the edge of the coastal shelf in an interdisciplinary study. It studied the sedimentary record across the coastal zone to determine how fluxes of material have influenced sea level, climate and land use. The study concentrated on the UK East Coast from Berwick upon Tweed to Great Yarmouth, concentrating on the Humber and its catchment.
Digimap allows users to view and create maps of any location in Great Britain using Ordnance Survey map data. Data can be downloaded for use in other software packages, such as Geographical Information Systems (GIS), drawing software and CAD.
